What Draw.io CLI does
The Draw.io CLI is a command-line interface designed to facilitate the creation, editing, and exporting of diagrams using Draw.io. This tool allows developers and designers to manage their diagram projects directly from the terminal, providing a streamlined workflow for those who prefer command-line interactions over graphical interfaces. With this CLI, users can create new projects, open existing files, and save their work efficiently without needing to navigate through a GUI.
This CLI supports a range of commands grouped by functionality, including project management, shape operations, connector management, and export capabilities. Users can create new diagrams, modify shapes, and connect them, all while leveraging the power of the command line. The interactive REPL mode allows for easy command entry with features like tab completion and command history, enhancing the user experience.
One of the key features of this CLI is its ability to output data in both human-readable and machine-readable formats. This dual output capability is particularly useful for developers looking to integrate diagram management into automated workflows or scripts. The JSON output mode is tailored for programmatic use, making it easy to consume the results in other applications or services.
Overall, the Draw.io CLI is an excellent tool for anyone who frequently works with diagrams and prefers a command-line approach. It is particularly suited for developers and designers who need to automate their diagramming tasks or integrate them into larger projects.
